Alberto Díaz Castillo is a Cuban pianist and composer based in Germany, known for his organic fusion of contemporary jazz, Afro-Cuban roots, African polyrhythms, and elements of European classical music. His artistic vision is guided by a simple and powerful idea:

Music that connects genres and people. 🌍

Alberto’s work creates a bridge between different musical worlds, blending tradition and modernity, structure and freedom, introspection and rhythmic energy. His style is characterized by the natural integration of odd meters, the rhythmic depth of his Caribbean heritage, and a melodic sensibility shaped by both academic training and personal exploration.

He has performed at festivals such as Leverkusen Jazztage (Germany), The Sounds of Bazaar (North Macedonia), New Jazz Festival Nürnberg, Poetenfest Erlangen, and notable venues in Havana. His music has received international recognition, including the Future Sounds Award in Germany.

From his base in Germany, Alberto develops projects that combine jazz, world music, contemporary fusion, and Afro-Caribbean rhythmic elements. His work is rooted in the belief that music can unite cultures, express identity, and bring people closer together through sound.
